Rasam is a traditional lentil soup made in the South of India, especially Tamil Nadu. This premix has the right spices in the right proportions to give an authentic taste to rasam. It is made with organic spices that are blended using an heirloom recipe.

This is a unique mix because it is has been premixed in the correct proportion to make cooking fast & easy. These spices have been sundried and handcrushed at our facility.

Soak some tamarind in hot water and let it sit, make 3 cups of water. Meanwhile on a pan add mustard, cumin and red chilli, sautee and add tomatoes. Let it cook. To this mix add 2-3 spoons of the Rasam powder, salt and jaggery. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil on a low flame. Add fresh corriander leaves and serve hot.
After using the Rasam podi you need to only add salt to the rasam. You may add some turmeric or chilli depending on your personal taste preference.
