The diffuser broke in two pieces

I was so so excited to get the diffuser and surprise my mum with it. The day it arrived, we lit a diya and used the yin yang oil and allowed the aroma into our house. Once the aroma settled in, i found out that the top pot which holds the oil broke into two halves. It could be because of the heat of the diya. I’d love for it to be replaced but don’t have the heart to ask for it.
